Went to VSO Education Open Day in Putney, London. Met some interesting people. One guy gave a talk about volunteering in Ethiopia. He lived in a small concrete-block house, but it did have electricity and even a phone-line. He'd taken his laptop for music/DVDs etc.
One worrying thing... he had a guard (with a spear!) who lived in a room attached to his house.
Another woman had been to Maldives... the place looks beautiful. I'd like to be on a remote island. Her Maldivian counterpart was with her today. He's come to England for a visit.
It's the total lunar eclipse tonight.
